Phil White CBE

Chairman

Phil was appointed Non-Executive Director in January 2009 and became Chairman in May 2009.

The majority of Phil's executive career was spent in the public transport sector, during an exciting period of deregulation and privatisation. He was Chief Executive of National Express Group plc from 1997 to 2006, leading the business through a period of considerable growth both in the UK and overseas. Phil is currently Non-Executive Chairman of Kier Group plc and Non-Executive Chairman of Lookers plc.

His experience gained in leading customer focused businesses, both in an executive and non-executive capacity, is invaluable to the Group.
