It’s simple but unique: we develop, manage and co-invest in student accommodation. First, our acquisitions teams find the right sites. We then build properties tailored to students’ needs, using components including bedrooms and bathrooms manufactured at our own modular production facility. This allows us to minimise waste and reduce build times, whilst ensuring the highest level of quality control and reduced snagging.
| As our new properties start to take shape, we market them directly to students – who can view and book accommodation online at www.unite-students.com. Once they are fully booked (we call this ‘stabilised’), most are offered to the UNITE UK Student Accommodation Fund, which owns student accommodation and in which we have a stake. UNITE Group continues the full management and operational responsibility for all properties in the Fund and is paid fees for its service in return. This Fund – the largest of its kind in Europe – generates fresh capital for our ongoing development.
