Supply and demand
Alongside the changing nature of the demand for student accommodation, there is an ongoing shift in the supply landscape. When compared to other traditional competitors in the property market, the student accommodation sector has outperformed resulting in more available capital to invest in the sector. This is being seen through increased demand for investment properties subject to long-term leases and for development sites in London that have planning permission in place.
