Unite Students to host buyer innovation day – 28 January 2016

10 November 2016

Unite Students, the UK’s largest provider of student accommodation, is going to be hosting a Buyer Innovation Day on Tuesday, 5 April at Bristol and Bath Science Park. The event will see new and existing suppliers being given the chance to pitch new and innovative services and products directly to the Unite Students procurement team.

Unite Students provides a home to over 46,000 students in 138 properties across the UK and are always looking at ways of providing a better and more efficient service for students. Potential suppliers will be given a 20 minute slot to pitch their new products and services.

Steve Batley, Estates Director at Unite Students, commented:

“This is a rare opportunity for suppliers to present their new products and services directly to Unite’s team of buyers. We aren’t looking for existing products or services, we are genuinely interested in innovation.

“As a successful company and the market leader in the purpose built student accommodation sector we are constantly looking for new ways to provide our students with the best possible student experience.

“From external building materials to internal furniture and fittings, from waste management solutions to fire safety equipment – if suppliers have something new and innovative to offer which would benefit our students then we would like to meet them.”

To guarantee a slot, potential suppliers will be asked to dontate £100 towards the ambitious £250,000 target Unite Students is attempting to raise for Sport Relief.

For more information about the event, and for details about booking a slot, potential suppliers are asked to visit www.unitegroup.com/innovation-day

There will be a limited number of slots available on the day, and they will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
