The Unite Foundation

Providing accommodation scholarships for care leavers and estranged young people by financially supporting the Unite Foundation.

Doing what’s right by giving talented young people without family support the chance to go to university

Unite Students launched the Unite Foundation, an independent charity, in 2012, providing accommodation scholarships for care leavers and estranged young people.

Since then, Unite Students has given £10 million to the charity to help cover the accommodation and bills of scholars, covering up to three full years of study. The Foundation works with universities across England and Scotland to support scholars without family help, many who have been in local authority care or living with friends or extended family, while some have been homeless before starting university.
